The Ekahi Village Wailea
Situated upon the long, white sands of Keawakapu Beach, Wailea Ekahi is a luxury resort village consisting of 292 studio, one- and two-bedroom condominiums. The low-rise buildings are set amongst lushly-landscaped gardens and broad, emerald fairways. The village is dotted with four swimming pools, including a large free-form pool steps from the beach and ocean.
A beach side pavilion features changing areas, bathrooms and showers, beverage machines and a water fountain. There are sheltered tables and chairs for alfresco dining or simply whiling away the day playing cards, reading a novel, chatting with family and friends, or watching the whales frolic off-shore. Enjoy the company of your neighbors for a sunset drink before firing up one of the pavilion barbeques and grilling island fish steaks, or perhaps a rack of Azeka's famous bbq ribs - an island institution, available for purchase just down the road in Kihei town.
For light sporting, there are shuffleboard and paddle tennis courts. Of course, the focus of the resort village is beautiful Keawakapu Beach. Take a leisurely walk down the beach; stroll the paved, two-mile long beach side promenade through the resort hotels and condos of Wailea for spectacular views; or snorkel on the point to the south of Keawakapu Beach, where you will see fish every color of the rainbow - and perhaps an elusive sea turtle or two! Swimming is safe and the waters deliciously warm, year-round.
